Chocolate Negroni

Ingredients:

-1 1/2 oz gin

-1 oz sweet vermouth

-3/4 oz Campari

-1/2 oz cocoa-infused Campari (*see note below)

-Orange peel for garnish

-Cocoa powder for rim (optional)

Instructions:

1. Begin by preparing the cocoa-infused Campari. Add 1/2 oz of cocoa powder to 6 oz of Campari in a container with a lid. Shake well and let sit for at least 30 minutes, shaking occasionally. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove any clumps.

2. In a mixing glass, combine the gin, sweet vermouth, regular Campari, and 1/2 oz of the cocoa-infused Campari. Fill the mixing glass with ice.

3. Stir the mixture until well chilled, about 20-30 seconds.

4. If desired, rim a rocks glass with cocoa powder by dipping the rim in water and then in the cocoa powder.

5. Strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the prepared rocks glass filled with ice.

6. Garnish with a strip of orange peel, expressing the oils over the cocktail before twisting it and dropping it into the glass.

7. Serve and enjoy your delicious Chocolate Negroni!

*Note: If you don’t have the time or ingredients to make cocoa-infused Campari, you can simply substitute regular Campari in the recipe. The cocoa-infused Campari adds an extra layer of chocolate flavor, but the cocktail will still be tasty without it.
